Certified Veterinary Technician – Bend, OR

Personal Best Worldwide is urgently hiring for qualified veterinary technicians to join our client in Bend, OR.

Company Overview –

The clinic is independently run, small & intimate and has a fantastic team. The clinic generally cares for domesticated pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals.

The clinics team comprises – 2 full time vets, 1 part time vets, 2 CVT’s, 2 receptionists and an office manager. The team is close knit and supportive to each other, lending help where possible.

Certified Veterinary Technician – Essential Skills & Experience

Our ideal candidate will be a certified veterinary technician with at least 1 year of experience providing direct assistance to vets and owners. Previous experience with customer services, taking blood samples and dealing with labs is highly desirable.

• Certified Veterinary Technician qualification
• 1 year of experience in a CVT role
• Customer focused with a positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Confident in care planning, taking blood samples, dealing with labs & recommending products.
• Confident in using technology such as ultra-sounds, x-rays etc.
• Able to manage own time and work-load effectively.

CVT- the role & what you’ll do-

• Coordinate patients in order of urgency
• Take various samples, request samples from owners, send samples off for testing.
• Update the system with treatments provided & results from tests
• Provide clients with updates as required
• Order supplies as required to keep the clinic functioning
• Insert IV’s and monitor animal vitals.
• Take part in continuous training and development
