Join an established leader in consumer goods manufacturing as a dynamic Chief Operating Officer in Frederick, MD. Our client is looking for a forward-thinking and results-driven COO to lead their operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Industry Expertise:
You should bring a background in production or manufacturing, particularly in retail and consumer goods.
- Leadership Experience:
Demonstrate your senior operational or COO role experience in driving success, focusing on budgets, health and safety, and overall operational excellence.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Operational Proficiency:
At least 4 years in senior operations or COO roles, particularly in the manufacturing industry within consumer goods/retail.
- Strong Leadership:
Showcase your leadership skills and the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, health and safety, and business goals and KPIs.
- Communication Skills:
Effective communication is crucial, including proficiency with Microsoft Office packages and video communication software like Zoom and Teams.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
Lead your departments to operational excellence.
- Process Enhancement:
Improve or implement SOPs and SWPs where necessary and support the implementation of required policies, procedures, and codes.
- Financial Oversight:
Take charge of budgeting, forecasts, and cost management within your departments.
- Safety & Compliance:
Assist in managing health and safety across all departments and ensure effective incident reporting processes.
- Talent Management:
Play a role in hiring and interviewing top-level management.
- Collaboration:
Collaborate with Operations managers and team leaders to identify and resolve issues.
- HR Partnership:
Work with HR to identify staffing needs and budgets.
- Exemplary Leadership:
Lead by example, setting the standard for excellence.
