Licensed Pharmacist Jobs Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Pharmacist to join our team in Boston, MA. The Pharmacist will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing medication therapy management, and delivering exceptional customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting, along with a Pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications by state and federal regulations, ensuring proper labeling and packaging of medications.
  2. Medication Therapy Management: Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
  3. Patient Care: Maintain a patient-centered approach to care, addressing patients’ questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Assist patients in understanding their medications and treatment plans, promoting adherence to prescribed regimens.
  4. Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, resolve medication-related issues, and ensure continuity of care for patients.
  5. Quality Assurance: Perform medication safety checks, including drug utilization reviews and medication reconciliation, to identify and prevent medication errors. Adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on current trends and developments in pharmacy practice, attending continuing education programs and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills. Take initiative in pursuing professional growth opportunities and advancing career goals.
  7. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering positive relationships within the community.

Licensed Pharmacist Jobs Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Pharmacist license in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a licensed pharmacist in a pharmacy setting.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision in medication dispensing and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
  • Eager to learn and committed to professional development, with a willingness to adapt to evolving healthcare practices and technologies.
  • Patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect for patients’ individual needs and preferences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and computer applications.
