Property Manager

My client is a leading property management company based in Manhattan that takes care of several luxury buildings and condo complexes, they work mostly with co-ops and apartment owners, along with a small amount of high-end luxury rental units. They are seeking an experienced property manager, ready to take the next step in their career, to join their team!

Their ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the property industry in NYC with coops and condos being the focus of their experience, we welcome current property managers with 2-3 years of experience who are ready to take their career to a more senior level to apply. The company has an entrepreneurial feel and is less corporate, our ideal hire will have a desire to learn, lead, and make a big impact.


Property Manager Jobs Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the NYC property industry, with 2-3 years in a property management role focused around condos and coops OR luxury high-end rentals.
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to learn.
  • Professional, approachable with strong problem-solving skills and an out-of-the-box approach to dealing with boards and residents.
  • Previous experience working on exterior renovations is essential along with a strong knowledge of NYC codes, violations, and orders.
  • Previous experience using Yardi, Microsoft Office, and other online tools is essential, being able to pick up new systems and be tech-savvy is part of this fast-paced role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, firm but fair approach to dealing with boards, owners, and residents with the ability to lead them in the right direction for their best interest.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good financial acumen, strong budgeting abilities, willingness to learn figure forecasting, budget control and management, and cost-saving implementation.


Property Manager Jobs Role & Duties:

  • Work with the board to develop project timelines, and budgets and address potential project issues
  • Deal with city violations and orders
  • Oversee large exterior remodel projects
  • Deal with owner issues, building issues, etc.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Lead projects, manage budgets, set financials, and provide reports.
  • Liaise with legal teams, building managers, board, etc.
  • Be able to work on-site a minimum of 4 days per week
