Teaching Recruiter (Recruitment Specialist – Special Education)
Personal Best Worldwide is seeking a skilled and experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in recruiting top talent for our special education facility located in Brooklyn, NY.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of recruitment experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on recruiting teachers and related personnel for special education settings. This is an office-based, in-person position requiring full-time availability from Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week.
Teaching Recruiter Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and hire highly qualified teachers and related personnel for special education positions.
- Collaborate with school administration and department heads to identify hiring needs and establish clear job descriptions for open positions.
- Source and screen candidates through various channels, including online job boards, professional networks, and referrals.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and in-person interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and fit for the school culture.
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment assessments.
- Prepare and present candidate slates to hiring managers, providing detailed candidate profiles and recommendations.
- Facilitate offer negotiations and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on special education hiring trends, regulations, and best practices.
Teaching Recruiter Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of recruitment experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on recruiting teachers and related personnel for special education settings.
- Proven track record of success in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Strong understanding of special education hiring requirements and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant recruitment software.
